- 3–4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 lb)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup hot honey sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Olive oil spray (for coating)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Pat dry the chicken breasts with paper towels.
- In one bowl, combine flour, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- In another bowl, place the panko breadcrumbs.
- Dredge each chicken piece in the flour mixture, then dip into the panko.
- Arrange the breaded chicken on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Lightly spray the chicken with olive oil.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and juices run clear.
- In the last few minutes of baking, drizzle hot honey sauce over each piece and return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes.
Notes
Serve with coleslaw or a zesty salad to balance the heat. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for 3-4 days.
