Description

Ingredients

  • 10 cups of popped popcorn (about 1/2 cup of unpopped kernels)
  • 1 cup of white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup of red velvet cake mix (ensure it’s halal certified)
  • 1/4 cup of powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt
  • Optional: Edible glitter or red sprinkles for garnish

Instructions

  1. Pop the popcorn kernels using an air popper or stovetop method.
  2. Melt the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl.
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract, then mix in the red velvet cake mix and powdered sugar.
  4. Pour the chocolate mixture over the popped popcorn and stir to coat.
  5. Sprinkle additional red velvet cake mix and a pinch of salt if desired.
  6. Spread the coated popcorn onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Allow to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
