Description

A nutritious twist on classic waffles, these Protein-Packed Waffles are made with whole grains and protein-rich ingredients for a satisfying breakfast.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour or almond flour
  • 1 scoop of halal-certified protein powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt
  • Toppings of your choice (fresh fruits, nuts, or yogurt)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the whole wheat flour, protein powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together Greek yogurt, eggs, honey or maple syrup (if using), and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring gently to combine.
  5. Lightly grease the waffle iron, pour in the batter (about ½ to ¾ cup), and cook until golden brown.
  6. Remove the waffles and serve with your desired toppings.
  7. Repeat until all batter is used.

Notes

Don’t overmix the batter for airy waffles. Customize with spices or mix-ins as desired.
