Description

A savory and aromatic Korean Ground Beef Bowl topped with fluffy jasmine rice, bursting with flavors of garlic, ginger, and soy sauce, perfect for a quick and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 2 cups jasmine rice
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Optional: bell peppers, green onions, or carrots

Instructions

  1. Cook jasmine rice according to package directions, rinsing under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. In a large skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart as it cooks until browned, approximately 5 minutes.
  4. Pour soy sauce over the cooked beef, letting it simmer on low heat for an additional 2 minutes.
  5. Stir in optional vegetables; cook for about 3 minutes until slightly tender.
  6. Serve the beef mixture over jasmine rice and garnish with green onions or sesame seeds.

Notes

Avoid overcooking the beef for a juicy texture. Rinse rice thoroughly for a fluffy result.
