Description

A quick and flavorful Korean Ground Beef Bowl, perfect for weeknight dinners, combining aromatic ingredients and robust flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 2 cups jasmine rice
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1-inch piece ginger (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Optional: bell peppers, green onions, or carrots

Instructions

  1. Cook the jasmine rice according to package directions, then rinse under cold water until clear.
  2. In a large skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and ginger, stirring until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  3. Add the lean ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and cooked through (around 5 minutes).
  4. Pour in the low-sodium soy sauce and stir to combine. Let it simmer on low heat for 2 minutes.
  5. If using, stir in optional vegetables and cook for about 3 minutes until slightly tender.
  6. Serve the beef mixture over jasmine rice, garnishing with sliced green onions or sesame seeds as desired.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken. Additional veggies can enhance nutrition.
