Description
A delightful combination of warm, flaky biscuits and juicy fried chicken drizzled with sweet and spicy hot honey.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3–4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
- 3/4 cup milk
- Hot honey for drizzling
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add the cold, cubed butter and mix until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- Gradually add the milk, blending until a soft, cohesive dough forms.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface. Knead gently, then roll out to about one inch thick. Using a round cutter, cut out biscuits.
- Place the biscuits on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12–15 minutes until golden brown.
- While the biscuits bake, heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season the chicken breasts and fry until golden brown, about 5–7 minutes per side.
- Assemble by placing fried chicken between warm biscuits and drizzle with hot honey.
Notes
For healthier alternatives, consider using whole wheat flour, almond milk, or experimenting with air-fried chicken.
