Description

A nostalgic and creamy grasshopper pie with a crunchy chocolate crust, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups chocolate cookie crumbs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp pure mint extract
  • 35 drops green food coloring
  • 8 oz Cool Whip or whipped cream
  • ¼ cup chocolate shavings (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine the chocolate cookie crumbs with the melted butter.
  3. Press the mixture into a pie pan and bake for 10 minutes.
  4. Remove from the oven and allow it to cool completely.
  5. In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk and mint extract until smooth.
  6. Add food coloring, one drop at a time, for your desired shade of green.
  7. Gently fold in the Cool Whip until fully combined.
  8. Pour the filling into the cooled crust, spreading it evenly.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight.
  10. Before serving, top with chocolate shavings.
