Description

A rich chocolate cake with a creamy peanut butter twist, perfect for celebrations or indulgent evenings at home.


Ingredients

  • ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup melted semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 cups powdered sugar (for frosting)
  • ¼ cup whole milk (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, stirring in the vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Gradually fold in the dry ingredients along with the melted chocolate chips until just mixed.
  6. In a small bowl, blend the peanut butter with powdered sugar; then swirl this mixture into the batter.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  8. Cool for about 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks; frost once cooled.

Notes
