Description
A comforting and easy-to-make dish featuring flaky crescent rolls filled with seasoned chicken and gooey cheese.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3–4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 can (8 oz) crescent roll dough
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- 2 tbsp melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cook the chicken in a skillet over medium heat, seasoned with salt and pepper until golden brown and cooked through (about 6-8 minutes on each side). Allow it to cool slightly, then shred it with two forks.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken with cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until well mixed.
- Roll out the crescent dough on a clean surface. Place about a tablespoon of the chicken mixture at the wider end of each triangle and roll it up tightly.
- Arrange the rolls on your prepared baking sheet and brush them with melted butter.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Let them cool briefly before serving.
Notes
These rolls can be made ahead of time and baked fresh when needed. Use whole wheat dough for a healthier option or low-fat cheese as needed.
