Description

A comforting and easy-to-make dish featuring flaky crescent rolls filled with seasoned chicken and gooey cheese.


Ingredients

  • 34 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 can (8 oz) crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 2 tbsp melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cook the chicken in a skillet over medium heat, seasoned with salt and pepper until golden brown and cooked through (about 6-8 minutes on each side). Allow it to cool slightly, then shred it with two forks.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken with cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until well mixed.
  4. Roll out the crescent dough on a clean surface. Place about a tablespoon of the chicken mixture at the wider end of each triangle and roll it up tightly.
  5. Arrange the rolls on your prepared baking sheet and brush them with melted butter.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Let them cool briefly before serving.

Notes

These rolls can be made ahead of time and baked fresh when needed. Use whole wheat dough for a healthier option or low-fat cheese as needed.
