Description

A heartwarming dish of rigatoni pasta, ground beef, and gooey cheese, perfect for family gatherings and cozy dinners.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz rigatoni pasta
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Cook the rigatoni until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, and sauté until translucent, about 3-5 minutes.
  4. Increase heat to medium-high, add ground beef, and cook until browned, about 6-8 minutes.
  5. Stir in marinara sauce and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. In a large bowl, combine the cooked rigatoni with half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses. Pour in the beef mixture and gently mix.
  7. Transfer to a greased baking dish and spread evenly.
  8. Top with remaining cheeses and bake for 25-30 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and golden.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
