- 8 oz rigatoni pasta
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Cook the rigatoni until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, and sauté until translucent, about 3-5 minutes.
- Increase heat to medium-high, add ground beef, and cook until browned, about 6-8 minutes.
- Stir in marinara sauce and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked rigatoni with half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses. Pour in the beef mixture and gently mix.
- Transfer to a greased baking dish and spread evenly.
- Top with remaining cheeses and bake for 25-30 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
