Description
Fun and festive ghost-shaped pastries perfect for Halloween, filled with your favorite jam and decorated with spooky frosting.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package of ready-made pie crust (ensure it’s halal)
- 1 cup of your favorite jam (like strawberry or raspberry)
- 1 cup of icing sugar
- 2 tablespoons of milk
- Black food coloring or chocolate chips (for eyes)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Unroll your premade pie crust and roll it out to a thin layer.
- Use a ghost-shaped cookie cutter or knife to cut out ghost shapes; each Pop Tart needs a top and bottom.
- Place a teaspoon of jam on each bottom ghost piece, leaving space at the edges.
- Seal with a matching ghost cut-out on top, using a fork to press down the edges.
- Bake on a lined baking sheet for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Cool on a wire rack before frosting.
- Mix icing sugar with milk for frosting, then drizzle over cooled Pop Tarts and add chocolate chips or food coloring for eyes.
Notes
Chill dough if too soft, and feel free to experiment with different fillings.
