Description
Delicious crispy bites of salmon coated in spices, perfect for parties or a tasty weeknight treat.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb fresh salmon fillets, skin removed
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust according to spice preference)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko works great)
- Oil for frying (vegetable or canola oil)
- Fresh lemon wedges, for serving
- Optional dipping sauce (like spicy mayo or sriracha)
Instructions
- Cut the salmon fillets into bite-sized cubes, about 1-2 inches each.
- In one shallow bowl, combine the flour, paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. In another bowl, beat the eggs. In a third bowl, place the breadcrumbs.
- Dip each salmon piece first into the flour mixture, shaking off the excess. Then, dip it into the beaten egg, and roll it in the breadcrumbs until completely covered.
- Heat about ½ inch of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Carefully add a few salmon bites to the hot oil, frying them for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
- Transfer the cooked salmon bites to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil and repeat with the remaining bites.
- Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the salmon bites and serve with your choice of dipping sauce.
Notes
For added flavor, marinate the salmon in lemon juice, garlic, and spices for 30 minutes before coating. Use panko breadcrumbs for extra crispiness.
