- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs

- ½ cup powdered sugar (for rolling)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Incorporate the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.
- Form balls of dough using a tablespoon or cookie scoop and roll in powdered sugar.
- Place the cookie dough balls on prepared baking sheets and bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are set.
- Cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
Ensure that your butter and eggs are at room temperature for better blending. Don’t overbake to maintain a chewy texture.
