- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 2 cups fresh spinach, roughly chopped
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: 1 cup cooked pasta or rice
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, chopped spinach, softened cream cheese, sour cream, and one cup of shredded cheese. Mix until well combined.
- Sprinkle in the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir to evenly disperse.
- If desired, pour in half a cup of chicken broth and mix until the consistency is creamy.
- Transfer the chicken mixture into a greased baking dish. If using, layer in cooked pasta or rice.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For a creamy texture, ensure cream cheese is softened prior to mixing. Fresh spinach is preferred, but frozen can be used if drained well.
