Description

A warm, gooey Baked Brie served in a crispy bread bowl, paired with sweet-tart cranberry sauce and aromatic thyme, perfect for gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 round crusty bread loaf
  • 8 oz high-quality brie cheese
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • 2 tbsp fresh thyme leaves
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Carefully slice off the top of the round bread loaf, about one inch down, and gently hollow out the inside, leaving about half an inch of bread on all sides.
  3. Place the round of brie cheese into the hollowed-out bread.
  4. Top the brie with the cranberry sauce.
  5. Sprinkle fresh thyme leaves atop the combination.
  6. Drizzle olive oil over everything and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Set the bread bowl on a baking sheet and place it in the oven. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and the bread is golden brown.
  8. Let it cool for a couple of minutes before serving warm with reserved bread pieces or alongside crackers.

Notes

For a healthier option, consider using low-sugar cranberry sauce or a dairy-free cheese alternative.
